Young people often think more positive about Europe than is assumed

Every year thousands of young people take part in European activities like school debates, exchanges and internships abroad. The effect is often invisible. This is unfortunate according to Europe4me. Young people often think more positive about Europe than is assumed.

Making youngsters and Europe visible

The project Europe4me presents the opportunities that Europe has to offers and the experiences of participants in European activities visible by allowing young people to describe their experiences personally. Europe4me is an innovative awareness and education project, in which youngsters and young adults participating in European activities are able to share their experiences with a large audience and thereby starting a dialogue about the experience and about Europe. All activities of the project, such as training, meetings and projects lead to 3 national theme papers which are disseminated through the free newspaper METRO to the Dutch public. The theme papers are aimed at a different view of Europe. They also serve to raise awareness and greater attention for the annual Europe Day on May 9th.

Workshops, trainings and seminars

Workshops, trainings and seminars are important components of the Europe4me activities. Project leaders and participants are prepared here for the Europe4me activities. The following workshops, trainings and seminars are provided in the project:

  • Workshops for managers of European activities / project during national and regional information days from the cooperating partners;
  • Training for trainers of Europe4me participants;
  • Training and workshops for youngsters and young adults participating in the project;
  • Workshops for participants in youth projects;
  • Training meetings for schools (ROC) participating in Europe Day activities;
  • Workshops and presentations at European conferences which are organised partly in the framework of the project.
