Call for proposals - 4 million euros for intelligent local energy management 18-07-2006 The Intelligent Energy Executive Agency has launched a call for proposals for
the "Intelligent Energy — Europe" 2006 work programme. The indicative total
amount available for this call is 48.1 million euros. Of this amount, about 4
million euros will be for new local and regional energy management agencies. The
amount granted will be up to 50% of the total eligible costs. Organisations from
EU Member States, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein
can apply.
The multi-annual programme "Intelligent Energy - Europe" (2003-2006) is
intended to support the European Union’s policies in the field of energy. Its
aim is to support sustainable development in the energy sector. Sustainability
in this context means maintaining the balance between general objectives of
security of energy supply, competitiveness, and environmental protection.
