EUKN calls for case studies on urban regeneration 06-07-2006 The German Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR) has asked

regeneration of deprived urban areas in the EU Member States. The report will be
presented at the Ministerial conference in Leipzig on 24-25 May 2007. This
conference will be organised within the framework of the German presidency of
the EU in 2007. The report will also contain 2-5 examples of projects and case
studies per country from the 25 EU Member States plus Bulgaria and Romania.
The final report and the recommendations for politicians will be written by
an expert from the Netherlands Institute for City Innovation Studies (NICIS).
An international advisory group comprising experts in the field of urban
restructuring will evaluate the final report and will give suggestions for
recommendations for politicians.
