–Logement’ intergroup, CECODHAS will bring together the President of the
Committee of Regions Michel Delebarre, Vice-president of the European Economic
and Social Committee Mr. Roger Briesch and Jan Host Schmidt, Director of DG ECON
at the European Commission and MEPs including Dutch MEP Sophia in’T Veld (ALDE)
for a roundtable discussion on ‘The European Economy and Social Housing’ and how
the sector can best support the fulfilment of the Lisbon agenda.
Description
CECODHAS, The European Liaison Committee for Social Housing, established in
1988, is the European network for the promotion of the right to decent housing
for all. Members include 46 regional and national federations which together
represent over 22,000 public, voluntary and cooperative social housing
enterprises in 19 countries. All members are non-for profit. Together they
provide 21 million homes for rent or home ownership.
