Conference on creative industries – Barcelona, 15-17 March 2006 15-03-2006 Introduction The Compete network is organising a Conference on Creative industries. The
conference will focus on the economic dimension of these industries and their
impact on city-region competitiveness. The Compete network is a European
city-regional network aimed at sharing best practice on key factors influencing
city competitiveness such as connectivity, the knowledge economy, quality of
life and innovation.
Description
At the conference four different European city strategies to promote the
Creative Industries will be presented. Additionally, there will be three
optional site visits to some of the most representative projects in Barcelona
within the music sector, the architecture & design sector and the
audiovisual sector.
