Setting Regions in Motion, Baltic Sea project conference - Malmo, 16-17 May 2006

Introduction
The conference discusses projects in the Baltic Sea region. Results achieved through transnational cooperation will illustrate the added value of INTERREG III B to this region. Also the future transnational programme in the Baltic Sea region starting in 2007 will be elaborated upon.
Description
The Baltic Sea Region INTERREG III B Neighbourhood Programme belongs to one of the three different strands of the European Community Initiative INTERREG III. The programme is part-financed from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) covering the period 2000-2006. Strand B of the INTERREG Initiative supports transnational co-operation to enhance balanced and sustainable development of the European territory.
Programme
Day 1: plenary session wich will give insight into the present shape of the Baltic Sea INTERREG III B Neighbourhood Programme. In the afternoon four workshops on various subjects will take place.
Day 2: moderated discussion on the future of the transnational Baltic Sea Programme.
During the entire conference there will be an exhibition demonstrating results achieved by selected Baltic Sea INTERREG projects.
