Training for CLIMATE COMPASS Promoters - Frankfurt, 29 May - 2 June 2006

Introduction
CLIMATE COMPASS is a methodology developed by the European city network Climate Alliance and funded by the European Commission, to support cities and municipalities to set up an action programme for climate protection. CLIMATE COMPASS Promoters assist local authorities in preparing such a programme.
Description
The training for promoters is free of charge. A contribution to accommodation costs is possible for selected participants.
The target group is interested experts working: 
  • as a consultant in one of the relevant fields (energy, transport, etc.); 
  • for a national / regional association of local authorities or a city network in the field of environment or sustainable development; 
  • for a NGO which cooperates with local authorities in the fields of climate change policies, energy policies, sustainable development, etc.; 
  • for a regional body or authority in charge of co-ordinating and supporting Local Agenda 21 and other sustainability processes.
