URBACT Information Society Network Final Event - Brussels, 17 May 2006 17-05-2006 Introduction CITIZEN • CONTENT • CONNECT is the title of the concluding event of the
URBACT Information Society Network. The network has focused on how technology
can connect citizens in many different ways. CITIZEN • CONTENT • CONNECT will
highlight some of the findings and examples of good practice in the use of
Information and Communication Technology and place them in context with three
keynote speakers and an interactive session.
Description
Manchester is the lead partner city of the URBACT Information Society
Network, along with 12 European cities. The network seeks to address the
division between the information rich and information poor by building upon the
experience of local project partners through establishing exchanges of partner
cities and their experiences of using technology to promote social inclusion and
cohesion.
