The future of public services in Europe – CEMR 2006 – Innsbruck, 10-12 May 2006

Introduction
The theme of this year’s annual General Assembly of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) is “The future of public services in Europe”. At the conference, amongst others, José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, and Josep Borrell Fontelles, President of the European Parliament, are expected to participate.
Description
A number of workshops will be organised on the following themes: 
  • local and regional public services: sources of cohesion; 
  • adapting and financing local and regional public services.
Registration closes on 25 April 2006.
