European Conference on Waste Prevention, Reuse, Recycling and Composting - Brussels, 19-20 June 19-06-2006 Introduction European Environmental Policy is at the brink of major changes. With the
release of various Thematic Strategies about waste, products and resources, and
a project of a new Waste Framework Directive ,it is clear that European
Commission has opened the door to a complete revision of all the waste
regulation.
Description
The Association of Cities and Regions for Recycling and Sustainable
Management of Resources (ACR+) together with the Brussels Institute for the
Management of the Environment, (IBGE-BIM) and the Instituto para la
Sostenibilidad de los Recursos (ISR) organise in partnership with the CEMR, EEB,
RREUSE and WRAP this International conference on “How to Better regulate Waste
prevention and Recycling at the European level ?”.
This event wants to clarify stakeholders´ positions on the revision of the
Waste framework Directive and to feed the debate. Thematic roundtables will make
and recommendations for better regulation in the fields of:
