Safe and Secure Cities for the 21st century” on 15 and 16 June 2006 in
Rotterdam.
Description
Safety is a precondition for urban economic and social development. The
seminar will draw together the work that has been carried out for 2.5 years by
the partner cities within the SecurCity network and examine common policies,
structures and programmes that need to be put into place to develop strategies
that enhance the common safety and security of our cities.
The seminar is aimed at policy and practice specialists from the SecurCity
partner cities, regions across the EU as well as key decision makers in the
field of safety. Interactive workshops and field visits will address the
following issues:
A first draft programme will be available by mid-March.
