Introduction

The EcoProcura 2006 is the latest in a series of conferences on European sustainable procurement issues since the first conference in Hannover in 1998. EcoProcura 2006 is the sixth conference of this series. Theme of the EcoProcura 2006 conference is “Practical Solutions for Sustainable Procurement”.

Description

The conference will be combined with two other procurement organisation’s activities:

The Local Authority EMAS and Procurement (LEAP) Project Results will be presented.
The 2nd International Green Purchasing Conference is incorporated in the EcoProcura conference.

The following organisations are involved in organising the conference:

ICLEI;
the City Council of Barcelona;
the Provincial Council of Barcelona;
the LEAP Project Consortium;
the International Green Purchasing Network (IGPN);
the Government of Catalunya;
the Spanish Ministry for the Environment.
