Introduction
The European Forum for Urban Safety (FESU) is organising an International Conference on the topic of crime prevention and urban security. The EU Commission vice-president Franco Frattini is expected to attend the event, as well as some 1000 professionals working in the field of security.
Description
Focus of the conference is on the following three issues: 
  1. Globalisation of security
  2. The governance of security 
  3. Security and Social Cohesion
Throughout the conference the issues of “women’s rights” and “liberties” will be addressed.
At the conference, three clusters of workshops will be organised. Workshops in each cluster will take place simultaneously:
Cluster 1: 
  1. Migration, Minorities (first session) 
  2. Planning, public spaces & security (first session) 
  3. Youth facing violence (first session) 
  4. Drugs 
  5. Management of Urban crisis
Cluster 2: 
  1. Youth under violence (2nd session) 
  2. Large events 
  3. Police and Communicities 
  4. Prevention tools 
  5. Technologies and Liberties
Cluster 3: 
  1. Migrations, Minorities, (2nd session) 
  2. Planning, public spaces & security (2nd session) 
  3. Public/ Private Partnerships 
  4. Trafficking and organised crime 
  5. News conflicts, new solutions?
