European Congress: Urban renewal strategies of European neighbours 30-11-2006 Introduction Urban renewal policies and practice in neighbouring European countries will
be discussed at this congress. Attention is particularly paid to the interplay
of responsibilities by state, district, community and private entrepreneurship,
to instrumental questions and to the qualities of urban design.
Description
The congress will introduce an overview on the status quo in the United
Kingdom, in France and in the Netherlands, strengthening differences and
likewise developments. The knowledge of organisational structures, instruments,
management and leadership within the three neighbouring countries will be
discussed.
