Incentives for housing production - Seminar – Amsterdam, 14-15 December 2006
14-12-2006

Introduction
The Development Corporation Amsterdam is organising a seminar themed “Incentives for housing production -Which tools do European cities develop to optimise their housing and development projects?” European cities and other stakeholders in the field of housing production are invited to participate in the seminar.
Description
This seminar is the follow-up of a study published at the end of July by the Development Corporation Amsterdam: ‘Incentives for Housing Production - 15 European cities compared’. The report highlighted relevant practices in several European cities, which developed different tools to tackle current housing problems and optimise their housing and development projects.
The cases presented will focus on issues directly linked to housing production and stimulation:
  • the monitoring of land development;
  • the structure (contractual, organisational, financial) of the relationship between public and private stakeholders in housing projects;
  • the promotion of affordable housing;
  • the clarification of the planning process.
