CUTA Annual Conference ‘Public Transit – Making Waves’ – Halifax, 9-13 June 2007

Introduction
The 2007 Annual Conference of the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) is themed “Public Transit Making Waves”. It will raise awareness of the latest trends in the public transit industry and its impact on growing cities. It will be an educational experience that will provide delegates with the opportunity to collaborate, share knowledge, ideas and experiences with participants from across Canada.
Description
The Mayor of Halifax will give the address at the opening breakfast, with emphasis on the importance of urban transit in Halifax and in Canada’s urban communities. The Canadian Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities will share his views on the role public transit plays within his department. Aside from the plenary sessions there will also be workshops and technical tours.
CUTA is the national association representing public transit systems, suppliers to the industry, government agencies, individuals and related organisations in Canada.
