Towards a European Policy for Urban Transport – Brussels, 4 June 2007
04-06-2007

Introduction
This year, the Commission will publish a Green Paper on urban transport. The paper will identify potential European added value to action at the local level. The conference ‘Towards a European Policy for Urban Transport’ is the final event in a series of stakeholder meetings that were organised by the Commission to support the preparations of the Green Paper.
Description
The Green Paper on urban transport is foreseen for adoption by the Commission in the autumn of 2007. The preparation of the Green Paper will take place in partnership with the stakeholders concerned. An Internet consultation took place during the preparatory phase. The Green Paper itself will include a series of questions that are the basis for a large debate to which all stakeholders will be invited to participate.
