Laps and Raps for social inclusion – Brussels, 22 June 2007
22-06-2007

Introduction
The project Local Action Plans and Regional Action Plans (Laps and Raps) for Social Inclusion developed a framework and methodology for more effective integration of area-based approaches with wider conurbation or regional and national-level strategies in the field of social inclusion. The project was run by Quartiers en Crise – European Regeneration Areas Network (QeC-ERAN). The final conference in Brussels will see the presentation of the project results.
Description
In its Joint Report on Social Protection and Social Inclusion the European Commission identified six priority issues for tackling poverty and social exclusion, as reflected in the policy approaches being adopted by Member States.
The Laps and Raps project seeks to address these six priority issues for NAPS by developing a common methodology for the development of Local and Regional Action plans for social inclusion which would focus on these policy themes.
