Seminar on European funding for urban security – Brussels, 14-15 June 2007 14-06-2007 Introduction The European Forum for Urban Safety (EFUS) is organising a seminar on EU
funding options for prevention and urban safety available to cities and regional
authorities. The seminar gives hands-on information on how to access EU money
and how to put together project proposals in the relevant financial programmes.
Participation in the seminar is free of charge. However, only a limited number
of places is available.
Description
The purpose of this information seminar is to provide detailed information on
the new European financial instruments for the period 2007-2013 in areas that
are relevant to crime prevention and community safety professionals on the local
level, such as crime prevention, justice, fundamental rights, drug abuse,
domestic violence, youth, citizenship, migration.
The seminar transfers the relevant knowledge to stakeholders in local
authorities and provide them with an opportunity to network among themselves
with a view to initiate project proposals for EU co-financed projects.
A workshop summarises the information collected and gives participants the
opportunity to draft possible project proposals together with their colleagues
from other cities across Europe.
EFUS is a network of cities working on crime prevention through cooperation
and exchange of good practices.
