URISA's 2007 Annual Conference ‘Sharing Technological Inspiration: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow’ – Washington, 20-23 August 2007 20-08-2007 Introduction The Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) promotes the
effective and ethical use of spatial information and information technologies
for the understanding and management of urban and regional systems. It is a
multidisciplinary non-profit association where professionals from all parts of
the spatial data community can come together and share concerns and ideas.
Description
URISA’s 45th Annual Conference will generate discussion and debate about the
most serious topics faced by those trying to improve our urban and regional
environments through the use of information technology. Beginning on Monday with
full-day, comprehensive workshops, followed by three full days of educational
sessions and networking opportunities, URISA 2007 is a complete conference –
thought-provoking, unbiased and worthwhile.
The educational programme has been organised into several important programme
tracks:
Attendees may choose to concentrate on sessions within one or two tracks or
jump between sessions in multiple tracks. It is a do-it-yourself educational
experience.
