The conference is intended for all European municipal authorities planning, evaluating or deploying wireless networks. Three key challenges face local government: economic and social development; transformational government; and shared services. Wireless, fibre, communication technologies – Wi-Fi, WiMAX, cellular, proprietary systems – are a key part of the solution for local authorities, with mobility and flexibility strategic elements of transformation.
