Broadband Cities Amsterdam - Almere, 14-15 November 2007

Introduction
'Broadband Cities', the annual conference organized by INEC (The International Network of E-Communities), is an international open event for any professional interested and involved in broadband development.
Description
This year the conference will mainly focus on the contribution of broadband to the development of cities into economically wealthy and socially coherent places to live, work and play. International speakers from all over the world will gather in Amsterdam and Almere, The Netherlands, to share their visions, ideas and concepts in order to open up the minds of policymakers and business shapers.
Amongst the speakers of the conference will be:
  • Carlota Perez - researcher, lecturer and international consultant whose vision on the social and economic impact of technical change and historically changing conditions for growth, development and competitiveness is well known.
  • William Melody, professor, and amongst many other activities special advisor to the US Government in the break-up of AT&T, 1974 - 84
  • Eelco Blok, member of the KPN board, the Dutch national phone company 
  • Taylor Reynolds, senior analyst, OECD
  • Benoit Felten, senior analyst, Yankee Group
