Cityscape - London, 26-28 February 2008 26-02-2008 Introduction On 26 - 28 February 2008, 'Cityscape', the UK’s biggest annual event
dedicated to sustainable urban design and the public realm will take place. It
will be organised at London’s Earls Court featuring an ambitious indoor urban
design installation.
Description
'Streetscene', designed by landscape architects Whitelaw Turkington and
constructed by Skanska McNicholas, will take sustainability as a major theme,
demonstrating how the use of environmentally sympathetic design and materials
can create successful and sustainable places. Other contributors to Streetscene
include Charcon, CED, SureSet, Miller Druck, Arnold Laver Timber World,
Marshalls Street Furniture, Lindum Turf and Willerby Landscapes - just a few of
the 500 organisations making up the exhibition that takes place at the same
time.
There are also 75 free seminars including 'Sustainable communities &
quality places', 'Building a better public realm' and 'Water wise and a dozen
other new attractions.'
