Creative construct: building for culture & creativity - Ottawa, April 28-May 1 2008

Introduction
The Creative Construct symposium will bring together Canadian and international participants to exchange the latest ideas and practices on the development of cultural and creative spaces; cultural planning and investment strategies for cultural infrastructure and cultural districts; and collaborative approaches to enhancing the cultural vitality, creative potential and competitiveness of cities and communities.
Description
The internation symposium includes keynote speakers, presentations, panels and various styles of workshops to examine the role and importance of cultural infrastructure in furthering culture and creativity in cities and communities.
The Creative Construct international symposium is organized by the Centre of Expertise on Culture and Communities at Simone Fraser University in collaboration with the City of Ottawa.
