The Hague has been actively working over the past two years on its city
marketing campaign in order to put the city on the map. It’s time to stop and
evaluate how things are going. How is The Hague faring? Which general trends and
development typify today’s city marketing? Which partners are involved in
positioning and marketing The Hague and where are is the city headed in the next
two years?
‘City Marketing The Hague 2008’ takes place on Wednesday, 28 May 2008 from
11.00 to 17.00 at the Fortis Circustheater at Circusstraat 4 in Scheveningen.
The former Chief Marketing Officer of New York City, Joe Perello, will give
his view of city marketing in general as well as specifically for The Hague. The
rest of the program will be in Dutch when members of the City Marketing advisory
body explain how they and their companies are marketing The Hague.
The afternoon portion of the program will feature the launch of ‘Gastvrij Den
Haag’ (Hospitable The Hague). A number of local companies will sign a covenant
to make The Hague more welcoming.
