3rd Innovation Society Conference - Munich, 29-30 May 2008

Introduction
The City of Munich will host the 3rd Innovation Society Conference on May 29-30, 2008. The aim of this conference is to foster innovation and improve regional innovation policies by enabling European metropolitan regions to collaborate and pool their knowledge and experience. The functional role of city-regions in the innovation process and an analysis of the success and failure of different innovation strategies will be the focal themes.
Description
The partner regions in the Innovation Society have prepared workshops on the following subjects:
  • Strategies of knowledge regions - attracting talent and mobilizing competences
  • Tools to foster innovations - the role of public procurement and lead markets
  • Collaboration on innovation to promote future growth platforms
  • Cross-border regional innovation
In addition, a project workshop will provide an opportunity to get to know the partner regions' innovation projects and allow participants to search for new projects and exchange ideas.
