Smart High-Rise Development in Metropolitan Cities - Gdansk, 29-31 May 2008

Introduction
Cities are at a crossroads - do they accomodate future growth in further urban sprawl or become denser, more concentrated territories offering more efficiency in infrastructure provision, transport usage, economy and social functions and energy consumption? High-rise development has a crucial role to play in this debate and therefore forms the central issue discussed at this INTA conference in Gdansk.
Description
The INTA conference 'smart high-rise development in metropolitan cities' will discuss topics such as the relationship between high-rrise development and heritage, smart high-rise and social acceptance, high-rise buildings as urban flagships and tools for economic development and city branding, the impact on the environment and energy use.
