Introduction
On Saturday June 7th, 2008, the European institutions open their doors to the public. During the festival of Europe, the theme of which is "the European year of intercultural dialogue", one is able to discover a great number of associations, animations, shows, both on stages and in the streets.
Description
Several European Institutions will open their doors to the public on Saturday June 7th. For more information on the institutions that will participate, please visit www.festivaleurope.eu.
Programme
The Council of the European Union invites you to visit its Justus Lipsius building at 175 Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat, 1048 Brussels. Throughout the day, visitors will be able to take a guided tour of the building and visit a number of different information stands.The tour is available in French, Dutch, German and English. Following a short introductory film about the Council, our guides will lead you through various parts of the building. The tour starts in the Press Centre and includes a look inside the meeting rooms in where Council meetings and European summits take place.
Location
Most events will take place in the European district: Leopold Park, Place Jean Rey and the Schuman roundabout.
