Join mayors, local governments, and colleagues, as more than 800 delegates worldwide come together in Edmonton. This is a key event for all ICLEI Members and a golden opportunity for partners to gain a better understanding of the achievements of ICLEI and its Members. Delegates will be able to learn from each other and interact beyond regional boundaries, and watch the ICLEI network strengthen and grow. We invite each municipality to reach out to neighbouring communities, sister cities, and other partner municipalities to encourage them to join ICLEI and participate in the inspiring World Congress.

The programme will showcase the vast work of ICLEI members on advancing sustainability, for and about local governments. It will be enriched by global strategists sharing their vision on the opportunities and challenges for local governments in the coming decade. The discussions around ICLEI’s Strategic Plan shall be a milestone for the organisation, looking back at 18 years of activities to determine ICLEI’s role in the coming future.
