ENTP invites you to the ENTP General Assembly 2009 in Figueres (Alt Emporda) on the 30th of September-2nd of October.
Description
Successful towns and cities facing the financial crisis: solutions and best practices
  • What makes a successful city and New Town now and in 2050?
  • Resilience in a recession, how cities, towns and agglomerations can lead recovery in the crisis?
  • Best practice learning;
  • How to successfully sell your city building networks, the sustainability agenda and role of business/leisure tourism?
  • How to create a town’s image and identity for tomorrow?
  • The importance of civic leadership.
Subthemes:
1. The financial crises: what are the impacts for local resources (credit crunch, investments, taxes, resources, development plans for the next year).
2. Revitalization of economy within town centers: how to stimulate SMEs, self employment and innovation within Local authorities
3. Instruments for inward economy
4. Cultural infrastructures (and artistic creations?) as a way to stimulate economy
