Green Streets, Brussels, 7-8 September 2009
07-09-2009

Introduction
Millions of European citizens live and work in urban environments making mobility a major challenge for Europe’s cities. Ambitious EU proposals on reducing greenhouse gas emissions add a further layer of complexity to managing and innovatively improving transport mobility.
Description
The Green Streets two day conference, supported by the Committee of the Regions and EUROCITIES along with media partner Regional Review, will bring together high level speakers, representatives from many of Europe’s regional authorities and EC project leaders to:
  • discuss the transport challenges facing Europe’s urban spaces;
  • share best practice;
  • provide practical information about funding sources, suppliers and policy instruments;
  • help develop greener, more sustainable transport networks fit for the 21st century.
