Introduction
The 2009 Sweden conference on Urban Policies and Social Capital will focus on themes related to the urbanization of our society. During three conference days, researchers and practitioners from different parts of the world and fields will come together and create new knowledge and visualize the possibilities and challenges that are facing our future.
Description
The conference is divided in two parts. The first part (on the 24 and 25 of September) will take place in Lidkoping and there will be a strong focus on how practioners, as representatives from Cities, Regions and Businesses perceive and deal with issues related to the topics of the conference. Academics will also join the same sessions, giving their views. Languages used are English and Scandinavian (Swedish, Danish and Norwegian).
The second part of the conference will be housed in Gothenburg at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg. This part of the conference is solely dedicated to research, although practioners are encouraged to take part as well.
