Final URBACT report "building sustainable urban communities" released
28-03-2006

The “Building Sustainable Urban Communities” project focuses on a transnational analysis of the impact of population mobility and diversification on service provision by local authorities.
The aim of the research is to improve understanding of the patterns of mobility in three large EU cities - Berlin, Brussels and London - and analyse the implications of residential turnover for the effectiveness and responsiveness of services provided at local level. The final report includes two chapters devoted to “Measuring mobility” and “Analysing mobility in the partner cities” as well cities case studies and recommendations to tackle the implications of population mobility.
