Finland launches EU presidency website
01-06-2006

On 31 May, Finnish minister for European Affairs Paula Lehtomäki presented the website and visual design for the country's upcoming European Union Presidency. Finland will start its tour on 1 July 2006. The two main languages used for the web site are English and French.
During its Presidency, Finland will focus on issues such as competitiveness and globalisation, ageing, climate change and security. A preliminary agenda for Finland's presidency was presented a few weeks ago.
