ECAS guide on EU funding released
25-08-2006

European Citizens Action Service (ECAS) has published the twelfth edition of its “Guide to European Union funding: Accessing the Largest Donor”. The guide offers insight in all potential EU funds in practical handbooks. It includes tips on how to apply for EU funding and whom to contact for further information on each programme.
ECAS is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to enable NGOs and individuals to make their voice heard with the EU. They do so by providing advice on how to lobby, fundraise, and defend European citizenship rights.
The guide comes in two volumes:
  • Volume one covers information on budget lines for programmes within the EU. A chapter is dedicated to the Structural and Cohesion funds. In addition to information on 2006 budget lines, this volume also lists some useful introductory information on the financial perspectives for 2007-2013.
  • The second volume focuses on external aid with an introduction on how the EU manages External Aid. It contains budget lines covering different geographical areas outside the EU including Pre-accession Aid to the Western Balkans and the European Neighbourhood Policy, which is covered in one of the chapters.
