Network of European Cities for Local Integration Policy kicks off
11-09-2006

The network of European Cities for Local Integration Policy (CLIP) has been launched in Dublin on 11 September 2006. The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, the City of Stuttgart and the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions have initiated the network. Currently, more than 25 European cities participate in the network.
The CLIP network evaluates local policy and practice aimed at migrants. The participants aim to come up with better policy, based on the sharing and analysis of experiences. The network’s activities will comprise the following:
  • sharing of case studies in fields relating to the cities' integration policies;
  • a systematic evaluation of the participating cities’ policies and practices in integrating migrants;
  • a comparative analysis of the activities undertaken by other cities.
The outputs from the project will include a portfolio/casebook of initiatives, and guidelines for good practice as a source of inspiration and to evaluate results of different local measures for integration.
