EC launches call to support public ICT projects
30-05-2007

On 25 May, the European Commission launched a call for proposals under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). The call concerns the ICT policy support programme (ICT PSP). Local authorities can get support for e-government projects and other ICT investments. The budget of ICT PSP for 2007 is 54 million euros. Deadline for submitting proposals is 23 October 2007.
Total budget for ICT PSP for the 2007-2013 period is 730 million euros. The programme builds upon three programmes that were run in the last budgeting period:
  • eTEN
  • eContent
  • Modinis
In the ICT PSP Work Programme for 2007 three thematic priorities are selected. For each thematic priority, clear objectives are set. The three priority themes are:
  • Efficient and interoperable eGovernment services
  • ICT for accessibility, ageing and social integration
  • ICT for sustainable and interoperable health services
