FAQs 1. What is the role of the National Focal Points (NFPs)?
The fifteen National Focal Points (NFPs) play a crucial role in the European
Urban Knowledge Network (EUKN). Through the NFPs, a wealth of local, regional
and national knowledge and experience on urban issues is made available to all
European urban professionals. In this way, the NFPs support decision makers,
practitioners and policy makers in creating sustainable communities.
All 15 participating countries have created a NFP. NFPs are vital for the
collection and dissemination of urban knowledge at their national level.

8. What is the EUKN Research Desk?
The EUKN research desk is a service of EUKN to help you find an answer to
your questions on urban issues. The EUKN Secretariat runs the EUKN research desk
with support from a team of urban experts. When handling the submitted
questions, the Secretariat functions as the intermediary between the enquirer
and the experts.
9. How I can stay up to date on current developments in European
urban policy?
EUKN publishes Research & Practice Reviews, on seven knowledge themes.
These Reviews highlight recently published research and effective practices to
assist urban professionals in their day-to-day work.
