Euroscience, promoting science and technology
Introduction
Euroscience is a pan-european association of individuals interested in constructing a scientific Europe using a bottom-up approach. It represents European scientists of all disciplines, in the public sector, universities, research institutes as well as business and industry.
Description
Euroscience sets up conferences, workshops and other events regarding subjects such as career development, integration and collaboration in European science, accountability of scientists to society, ethics in science, public awareness of science and so on.
Besides, it works to extend its influence on European authorities and institutions, national governments and provides expertise upon request. Its aim is to reinforce scientific collaboration across all European borders.
Other areas are developed in response to members' suggestions.
Participants
Euroscience is a grassroots organisation open to research professionals, science administrators, policy-makers, teachers, PhD students, post-docs, engineers, industrialists and in general to any citizen interested in science and technology and its links with society.
Objectives
Euroscience aims to:
  • provide an open forum for debate on science and technology;
  • strengthen the links between science and society;
  • contribute to the creation of an integrated space for science and technology in Europe;
  • influence science and technology policies.
