Examples of Regional Innovation Projects 2000-2006
Introduction
More and better innovation in Europe is key to improving competitiveness, increasing growth, and promoting jobs. It is at the heart of Cohesion Policy for the period 2007-2013. Europe’s regions already have a wealth of experience in this area, and sharing this experience is one of the most effective ways of helping us understand the mechanisms of regional innovation. This is why this document is produced, which brings together summaries of some 40 project case studies of good practice from the regional programmes of innovative actions.
Description
In order to encourage the exchange of experience in the area of innovation, practitioners from Europe's regions and cities can find here case studies of relevant projects co-financed under the Cohesion Policy of the European Union. These case studies present the objectives and activities of the projects, the strategic context, the innovative aspects, partnership, obstacles in terms of design or implementation, results and impacts.
To date the sources of these case studies are the Objective 1 and 2 programmes and projects from the regional programmes of innovative actions, from the period 2000-2006.
