The Local Development Plan is a key element integrating the system of the city management, joining long-term strategic goals and operation activity. Multi-annual Plan of the most important development activities based on goals resulting from the development strategy of the city and present situation of the city of Bydgoszcz is consistent with annual action plans I the city’s budget. The mechanism of annual updating of the Plan makes out of it a system tool of managing the city development. The Local Development Plan contains inter alia ventures executed in the area of the city of Bydgoszcz co-financed with structural funds of the European Union. The document includes detail information on ventures planned for the realization in the years 2006-2009. Since the very beginning the plan has been based on social dialogue what means consultations with the local society who actively takes art in the process of its preparation and monitoring. The Local Development Plan is strongly correlated with the key local and regional elaborations: the Development Strategy of the City and the Development Strategy of the Region.
