Long-term Investment Plan of the City of Katowice for the years 2006 - 2010
Introduction
Long-term investment plan of the City of Katowice
Description
The economic program includes a list of investments planned to be executed in the defined period. The goal of multi-annual investment plan development is to improve the process of investments execution, concentration of financial resources on chosen priority investments what ensures their quicker termination and decrease of execution costs. The plan, of its nature, is a “rolling” plan, what means that it is made every year through updating of information included in the plan in force for the current budget year and supplementing with tasks for the new year, closing the plan. Multi-annual investment plan is a plan presenting investments that should be financed in the given period of time, arranged in the branch order, together with the proposed financing mode. Tasks and financing sources defined in the multi-annual investment plan for the years except the first year of the plan – despite of the plan approval – are not decided to be executed until budgets for subsequent years are approved. Plans for the years following the first year when the multi-annual investment plan enters into force, are only indicators of investment policy for the future and they will be evaluated and may be modified in subsequent years.
