Despite the good geographical situation and famous historical monuments Visegrád wasn’t able to keep up with the leader touristical attractions either in the world nor in Hungary. The programme describes the Hungarian tourism policy, analyses the situation of Hungary and Visegrád, the possibilities and barriers increasing the quality of services and the number of spent nights. The SWOT analysis gives details of the strength and weakness of the area. The strategy decides goals for long and middle term , and there are operative programme for cultural, ecological, water, riding tourism and for promotion and institution system. The strategy stresses cooperation between local government, business and civil organisations. It is necessary to ensure financial background with the help of regional and governmental organisations, and applying for projects giving financial help.
