Cultur@civitas Project
Introduction
The Cultur@civitas Project intends to improve the employability of women with university degrees in Humanities by promoting cultural industries.
Description
The Cultur@civitas Project is participated by eleven Spanish municipalities, universities and foundations and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces. It is co-financed by the European Social Fund in the framework of the EQUAL initiative.
The main objective of the project is to promote the equality of opportunities by supporting the creation of enterprises that benefit from the local cultural heritage. Thus, women with university degrees in Humanities (a collective with limited access to the job market) have a better opportunity to develop their careers in their field of expertise.
The Project includes four particular objectives:
  • Improve the equality of opportunities awareness on the cultural sector.
  • Contribute to the development of the cultural sector as a source of employment.
  • Provide women with university degrees in Humanities with a better chance to develop their careers.
  • Increase of entrepreneur capacity in women and show their capacity to assume leadership and business responsibilities.
