CONCILIA: Integral plan for the work and personal life balance in the Administration (Spain)
Introduction
Concilia is the integral plan to promote work-life balance in the Spanish Public Administration.
Description
The Concilia Plan, agreed with the most representative unions of the Spanish National Public Administration, has two main objectives: answer the demands of civil servants in the field of work-life balance and increase their motivation and performance, thus improving the quality of public services.
The goal is not to work less but to work better, making the most of the working hours, incorporating technological solutions to public service and establishing mechanisms that help the employees to face the changes that have been happening in the last few decades in the family structure and society in Spain.
The measures contemplated in the plan involve areas such as:
  • Schedule
  • Fathers
  • Mothers
  • Care of children and dependent people
  • Premature birth
  • Artificial insemination
  • Adoption
  • Disability
  • Lifelong learning
  • Protection from gender violence
  • E-book. Schedules and teleworking.
