This research report starts off with describing the Swedish housing market. It explains the production of housing in Sweden.  Furthermore, this paper describes the tenants participation as an important part in understanding the legal influence on urban planning matters according to the Planning and Building Act. Lastly, the recent developments in housing and planning pro¬grammes and finance for sustainable development are pointed out.
