Introduction

Strategic plan that coordinates the regional measures to promote public housing and land use in Extremadura.

Description

The Spanish Plan for Housing 2005-2008 is reflected in the Plan for Housing and Land Use in Extremadura, conceived as an instrument to coordinate the public housing promotion policies in the region.
The plan contemplates five main lines of action:

Promotion of the building of social housings for sale or rental.
Acquisition of existent housings for rehabilitation and subsequent sale or rental.
Rehabilitation of buildings and housings, and urban renewal.
Promotion of rental (aids for owners and tenants, acquisition of housings for rental).
Promotion of land use.

Besides, the plan supports the creation of the Housing Registry of Extremadura, in order to guarantee the principles of equality, publicity and absence of fraud in the adjudication and sale of social housings.
