Online digital training centre for urban regeneration
Introduction
ReUrbA was a 4-year project focused on the restructuring of urban areas in North-Western Europe. The project was set up as a 'laboratory' for European urban regeneration. Based on this project, an online training centre for urban regeneration has been launched. The centre, which is directly available through the Internet, offers insights and tools to train urban professionals in innovative methods and skills. The centre offers useful information on lifestyle planning, governance and value oriented planning.
Description
The online training centre for urban regeneration consists of three different parts:
  • Lifestyle planning: teaches professionals about what lifestyle planning is, how it can be applied, and what benefits it brings. This section also provides information about past ReUrbA projects.
  • Governance: provides information about undercurrents, objectives, myths and news skills needed for urban governance. A presentation is given which includes a test to assess one's own governance skills.
  • Value oriented planning: offers digital training in value oriented planning that helps urban professionals to find out if value capturing is a realistic option for their projects and shows which instruments might be most appropriate and effective.
