Participatory democracy at the crossroads
Introduction
"If participatory democracy is the answer, what is the question?" That is one of the matters discussed in the current issue of 'Eurotopia', a publication of the Transnational Institute (TNI). According to this organisation, "citizen participation is a fashionable political concept, but one that increasingly means all things to all people." TNI states that "it is time to reclaim ‘participation’ from those who would use it simply to legitimise existing political institutions." This issue of 'Eurotopia' with the title 'participatory democracy at the crossroads' therefore provides several articles, interviews and practical examples concerning this subject.
Description
This issue of the electronic publication 'Eurotopia' of TNI includes the following articles:
1. Participatory democracy in Europe
