Inter–cultural Cities Network - Andalusia, ES
Introduction
Urban network that promotes the social integration of immigrants and the construction of an intercultural citizenship.
Description
A big share of the migrations to Spain and Europe take place in the North of Africa, through the Strait of Gibraltar. Although there is an authorised and controlled migration, in most cases the immigration is illegal and involves serious risks for those who participate in it , and may cause imbalances in the destination societies.
The Inter–cultural Cities Network studies and promotes investigation about immigration from Africa to Spain and the rest of Europe through the Strait of Gibraltar. Thus, it intends to minor the risks involved in this phenomenon and to promote the social integration of immigrants in an urban environment of cultural diversity.
